About Us

OLLERTON STAGS SUPPORTERS CLUB is run by two local women who are passionate about Mansfield Town F.C (Nicola Walters & Leanne Gravil).

The main aim of OSSC is to support and promote Mansfield Town Football Club both on and off the pitch in the form of sponsorship, fundraising and publicity. Ways we do this include attending Field Mill events like Open Days, inviting players to Q&A sessions at meetings for our members and communicating what we've achieved with the club on our website and in the local media / via social media channels.

During our first decade as the Committee, OSSC have raised over £25,000 for MTFC by sponsoring players, games, goals and having an advertising board pitch-side at Field Mill. We have provided essential equipment for staff including a white lining machine and safety netting for the Groundsman, held events at Field Mill, and are this season offering money to fund appropriate pieces of kit for staff and players alike.

We support both the Youth and First team through player sponsorships and requests for kit / boot funding where possible.

We have attended functions arranged by the football club such as End of Season Dinners, Ladies Nights & Days at the Races in York.
We have also arranged our own events both at the supporters club’s HQ the Ollerton House and at Field Mill, to help generate money to the club. These have included Music Quiz Nights, Snail Racing, Car Treasure Hunts, Christmas Wine Tasting and End of Season Parties.
We run travel to most away games with local pick up and drop off points as well as arranging weekend stays where demand is high enough. We believe it's essential to use some of our bank balance to subsidise the cost of travel to games so that more of our members can afford to come along and cheer the team on.
Another aim for Ollerton Stags is to help out local charities where and whenever possible with over £1,500 being passed on since we formed. We work closely with the Edwinstowe Angels who fundraise for Breast Cancer Campaign and have sponsored members, friends and family who have run marathons for Children with Leukaemia, Breast Cancer Campaign and more locally the Queens Medical Centre and Kings Mill Baby Units. We donated money to the Ollerton Town FC Floodlight Appeal, have organised two five-aside charity days in conjunction with the ex-fanzine Déjà vu, and held Virgin Vie parties for Support Dogs and Breast Cancer Campaign.

This season we aim to build on the membership subscriptions we had last year and the amounts given to MTFC and charity. For more information on how to join or about the sponsors of Ollerton Stags please browse this site at your leisure and let us know what you think by commenting on blogs and articles.

So, all that's left to say is we hope to see you at our meetings or events soon and "COME ON YOU STAGS!"
